Ann Brigitte Kerwin of Beltsville, Md. passed away on November 15, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was an amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister and a great friend to many. She will be dearly missed.
She was born October 15, 1931 in County Wicklow, Ireland. She was the beloved wife of James J. Kerwin, Sr. and the loving mother of Cora Bagnall (Joe), James J. Kerwin, Jr. (Pam) and Sean Kerwin (Wendy). She is survived by her five grandchildren - Sean, Brendan, Logan, Lexy and Maddy; a sister Mary and brother Patrick and many nieces and nephews.
In 1960 Ann emigrated to Washington, DC. In 1962 she married her husband James and later moved to Beltsville where she raised her family.
For nineteen years Ann worked for Prince George's County School system. She was the cook at Martin Luther King Jr, Middle School in Beltsville. Ann's passion was cooking and baking and she baked many cakes and pies over the years for the church bazaar. Her holiday celebrations and family gatherings were legendary.
Ann enjoyed simple pleasures and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a joyful person and had a beautiful vibrance for life.
Visitation is on Tuesday, November 20 at 10am at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Beltsville, Md. followed by Funeral Mass at 11am. Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
