Anna "Ri" Marie Rabon

RABON, ANNA MARIE “RI”

Anna Marie Rabon, known as “Ri” to her family and friends, passed away on March 27, 2020 at home. She was 93. She is survived by her daughter Catherine Coates (Richard), son Donald Rabon, brother Charles Murray, and one deceased brother, Franny Murray; Grandmother of Stacey, Robert, Darren and Thomas; Great-grandmother to Kingston and Marley. Ri was born on December 18, 1926 in Washington, DC. As a teenager, she started to work at C&P Telephone Company (now Verizon) where she worked for over 40 years, retiring in 1985. It was always interesting to listen to her working stories about who she met or saw pass through Union Station in the 40’s. During that time, she moved to Chillum before finally settling in Beltsville, where she lived for over 45 years. She had a great love for all sports, especially her beloved Redskins and Nationals. Ri had a great passion for knitting, always making a blanket for a neighbor, friends, babies, and even the family’s new puppies. She was loved by many and always placed her family and friends first.
