Beverly T. (King) Minor

Beverly T. Minor of Silver Spring, MD, the widow of Richard E. Minor, passed away on September 25, 2023. Beverly was the daughter of John S. King and Thelma A. (nee Tyson) of Takoma Park, MD. She was the granddaughter of William J.G. and Iola Angeline (nee Livezey) King of Philadelphia, PA, and Harry B. and Rosa F. (nee Lynch) Tyson of Bay View, MD. She was the sister of John S. King, Jr., Adrian T. King, Kenneth S. King, and Leon H. King, who all pre-deceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda M. Crist (Steve), and son, Richard E. Minor, Jr. (Beth). Her grandchildren Stephanie Crist (Nate), Danie Minor, Payton Minor, great-grandsons Elliott and Benjamin Engler, and her wonderful caregiver Nessie Dukuray.

In 1947, Beverly graduated from Montgomery Blair High School and later that year married Richard Minor, a World War II veteran. They were married for 67 years until his passing in 2015. Beverly worked in the offices of Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company (now Verizon) until the birth of her children. Afterward, she worked full-time, supporting her husband in his various small business interests until she retired in 1993. Before retirement, she cared for her parents, and after retirement cared for her granddaughter, Stephanie. Beverly loved cats, clothes, and collections.
