Charleane N. Warrick

September 25, 1929 — April 15, 2015

Charleane N. Warrick, 85, of Melbourne, FL passed away April 15, 2015. Charleane was born in Altoona, PA on September 25, 1929. She was predeceased by her husband William T. Warrick. Charleane spent her entire life in public service, first with her jobs for the State of Maryland and then in her retirement years for the many service organizations that she actively supported until her death. She was a long time member of the Democratic Club and was still volunteering at the polls into her eighties. She had been a military bride and was most passionate about her work for the military service organizations. She was a longtime member of the Ladies Auxilary of the American Legion Post #348 in Melbourne and the 8 & 40 Salon #556. The majority of her efforts though were directed towards her work with the Ladies Auxilary of the beach-side VFW Post #4643. This group supports a coupon campaign that cuts coupons for military families to use at overseas military bases. Every moment of her spare time, she cut coupons for them. The coupons were given to the Family Support Services at PAFB to send overseas. She had also been a volunteer at PAFB for the Family Support Services in their Airman’s Attic, which assists military families with household needs. This effort was through her affiliation with the Air Force Sargents Wives Association. Charleane was also a member of the Red Hats and loved to lunch with them when her schedule permitted. She also donated her time and talents to projects with Ascension Catholic Church and to First Christian Church of Melbourne for programs that her grandchildren attended. As Her ability to get around declined, she mastered the computer and continued to keep in close contact with all of her family and friends through e-mail and kype. She is survived by: her sons, Jim, Ron, and Bill, daughter-in-laws Barbara and Annette, grandchildren Heather, Justin, Will, Allison, Bill, and Hannah, and her beloved friend Tom. The family would like to thank Wuesthoff Hospice for their wonderful care. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be made to a service organization of your choice.
