Christine Anne Dively

Christine ‘Chris’ Anne Gozzard Dively, 68, of College Park, passed away January 1, 2016 in College Park, Maryland.

Chris was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to Robert and Edna Gozzard on April 27, 1947. She went to high school at Saucon Valley High School in Hellertown, Pennsylvania and graduated in 1965. She went on to earn a B.S. in Biology at Keuka College in Keuka Park, New York and a M.S. in Entomology at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Her earlier career involved research in the field of microbiology at Johns Hopkins Medical School and Microbiological Associates. Chris left clinical work to be a registration scientist with the Environment Protection Agency and then later entered the private sector as a regulatory consultant with a private firm in Washington DC.  For the past 15+ years, she has been working as the Director of Regulatory Affairs for Certis USA.  Chris was an avid sports fan devoted to her Redskins and Washington Nationals, while serving for many years on the Recreation Committee for the City of College Park. She was actively involved in the College Park Boys and Girls Club and coached girls softball.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Galen Paul Dively II and leaves loving memories to be cherished by her brother and sister, Nicholas R. Gavrilov-Gozzard, of England and Deborah G. Gozzard, of Virginia Beach, VA; children, Kirk and Lindsay Dively; step-children, Tracy and her husband Michael Schulden, Galen III and his wife Margo Dively; grandchildren, Kelly and Taylor Schulden, Zelda, Abbye-Gayle, and Galen Dively IV; her loving dogs Max, Lola, and Tyson, and a large community of extended family and friends.

Celebration Gathering at Old Line Bistro at 11011 Baltimore Avenue, Beltsville, MD 20705. This will be held at 9:00 P.M. till 11:00 P.M.
