DANIEL G. DAVISON DOB: 06-10-1975 – DOD: OBITUARY Daniel Gurgen Davison, 40 years old, passed away in his sleep on April 2, 2016. Born June 10, 1975, at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD, and was named Daniel, after his American-born father; and Gurgen, after his Armenian grandfather, born in Baku, Azerbaijian; his grandmother was Ukrainian, born in Ukraine; his mother and aunt Lydia, were born in Germany. Eventually, his grandparents, mother and aunt (legally) immigrated, permanently and proudly settling in the USA. During his elementary school years, Daniel attended American school during the week and Ukrainian school on Saturday. The Ukrainian language was always spoken between his mother, aunt, and grandparents. Daniel was raised to appreciate both the American and Ukrainian cultures. He delighted in speaking and texting in their unique “English-Ukrainian language blend”, with his mom and sister. Daniel could accomplish anything he set his mind to do. He had a zest for life; and, his appeal won him many loyal and loving friends. He was fun and funny; a natural athlete; he loved his pets, and music. Over the course of his young life, he played the saxophone and drums; deciding, eventually, his love was the guitar and became a self-taught guitarist. He especially enjoyed guitar-playing jam sessions with his buddies and listening to Dave Matthews music. Daniel is survived by his loving father and mother, Daniel (Rusty) and Vera Davison; his sister, Erika Davison; aunt and uncle, Lydia and Ed Taylor; cousins, Eddie and Joe Taylor, Angie Taylor Cotton; as well as many other aunts and cousins. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandparents, Gurgen and Justyna Babajan, and uncle, Alexander Babajan. There will be a closed casket visitation on Friday April 8, 2016 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Nial Howell will officiate the funeral service at 11:00 am. The following family and family friends are honored to serve as pallbearers for Daniel; Daniel Lee Davison, Eddie Taylor, Joey Taylor, Richard Cotton, Brian Murphy, Don Reed, Rock Zang and Rick Barns.   Burial will be in the Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 2150 Mount View Road, Marriottsville, MD 21104.
