Daniel Leiva was born December 2nd, 2006 at Providence Hospital in DC. He was always a happy child, full of life. Daniel had always been one to help someone in need. Whenever he was in school, the only complaints his mom would get is that Daniel could never sit still in class because he was always up helping his other classmates.
He had big dreams and big goals. His latest ambition was to be a boxer. He was currently doing research in what it is he had to do to become one. His dreams were to one day be able to get married and start a family. His goals were to learn how to drive, get a job and be able to live by himself. Everything he had goals and dreams to do were basic things for everyone else. Not for Daniel though, for Daniel it was everything.
He had a rare episode of epilepsy 8 years ago that changed all of our lives forever. He had to learn how to walk, talk and eat all over again at the age of 10 years old. Knowing that he was able to overcome all that shows how strong and resilient he was.
Daniel is survived by his parents, Angelica and Amado. His siblings, Estefany, Jacqueline, Ashley and Santiago. His brother in law, Christopher and his nephew, Ezekiel.
Daniel was strong, kind hearted, generous, funny, full of attitude and full of love.
We will miss him all so much. He’s won the hearts of so many people and leaves behind a beautiful memory with each and every one of us.
