It is with a heavy heart to report, George Victor Hughes, 36, of Beltsville Maryland, passed away on November 30, 2022, at his home. Son of the late James William Hughes Jr. and the late Veronica C. (Denice) Hughes. Brother of the late James William Hughes III. Nephew of Ed and Judith R. Hughes, Judith A. Hughes, Joseph and the late Debra Denice. Cousin of Ellen Denice, Joseph Denice Jr., Laura Denice, Kelly Denice, and Robert Hughes.

George grew up in Beltsville, Maryland briefly living in the Steven Walks apartments; before moving to the Beltsville Heights, on Manheim Ave. George attended Beltsville Academic Center (now Beltsville Academy); Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School; and High Point High School. Following in the footsteps of his mother he worked at United Parcel Service (UPS), as well as for the companies of many of his friends’ families over the years.

He grew up celebrating many holidays/events at the Greenbelt American Legion. He loved hunting; country music; motorcycling; four wheeling; and had a very special place for all of his dogs. He enjoyed the fresh outdoors and would never miss an opportunity to spend on the lake, at a bonfire, or at the beach. He enjoyed having a good time surrounded by his friends, he frequented Remington’s in Beltsville, MD.

George was a wild child, with a rebel soul, and a heart of complete gold. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan, despite his entire family being Washington Redskins (“Commanders”) fans. He was extremely loyal and went out of his way to pay respect and visit those that had previously gained their wings. George was well known and loved by many and will forever be missed.
