Hilda " Delores"  Newman  was born on January 20th, 1948.  In  Washington D.C.  at Freeman Hospital.,
to the late Carl and Mary Newman .   She was proceeded in death by 4 of her brothers and two sisters.

Affectionately known as "Delores"  and  "Lou Lou" by  close family friends. Delores had many interest. she enjoyed dancing, bowling' vacationing, traveling, attending Church Services, listening to music, singing along with her favorite songs, she knew them all, She attending Summer Camp with her friends, and Playing Bingo {where she always won. according to her. She also enjoyed soft ball, and strength Training.  Delores was very adventures and would try anything .   Delores spend Many Years enjoying  her  retirement years at The Mary Solko Senior Center, where she had many friends,  She was one who easily made  friends and was well liked.  At the Mary Solko Center, the Director. Susie Thompson mas them feel like  Queens and Kings, it shows by the many photos and trips they enjoyed.

Hilda beautiful smile and jovial personiality  was very conttgious , to  hear her laugh is amazing,. like no other,.  to be around  her, you have to love her.  We all did.
We also want to send a special Thank You to Judy Friday, Cassandra Chijioke  Isata \Mansaray of The Lackawanna Home.  MaCelle,,her   N.C family and friends,  Tammy Money Hasel. a lifetime supporter and friend.  When Delores didnt want to talk to anyone else, she will talk with Tammy,  if she see her across the room, she yells out her name,
to Know Delores, you Must Love her, she was one of a kind.
Let us not for get Pamela Bowen. who developed such a special and loving  relationship with Delores.
they had beautiful talks on the phone, and went on vacations together,  Thank you Pam.  Delores became very important  and loved by the whole Bowen Family. , thank you for the many cookouts. Holiday Dinners, Family Baby Showers. Back Yard Dances. we will always be grateful for it all.
Another good Friend of Delores was her Pastor, Dr. Carl Keels, of Community Baptist Church.  Delores loved her Church and all the folks there. Pastor Keels is an amazing Pastor.  He accommodated all of us with what every we need. We were always treated Special and made to feel important  in the House Of God.  Sometimes just a touch  on the fore head with a silent Prayer meant  everything to us.  If one of Our Wheelchairs block the isles, or to  his path  . up to the Pulpit.. He warmly went around the other way.  Thank You Dr, Carl Keels for Welcoming us into The House of God.
