James Stafford Hamill

On Monday, February 1, 2016 of Riderwood Village, Silver Spring, Md.; born in Washington DC to the late John and Annie Hamill; husband of Marie E. Mathis Hamill, and the late Leona “Lee” Zielinsiki; father of Lee Ann, Doris, James John, Mark, Michael, Mary, Teri and Thomas; stepfather of Bill, Stephen, Joseph, Michael, Mark and Kathy Mathis; brother of Doris Penalosa; graduated Theodore Roosevelt High School (1944) and Catholic University (1950); he worked for General Electric Co. for 37 years. He lived in Bay City, Michigan; Scotia, New York; Endwell, New York; Ormond Beach, Florida; Midland, Michigan; and Silver Spring, Maryland. Family will receive friends at Riderwood Chapel, 3110 Gracefield Road, Silver Spring, Md., on Friday, February 12, from 12 pm until time of Memorial Mass at 12:30pm.
