Janet F. Ferst

Janet Frances Ferst, died after a long struggle with Lymphedema, on Saturday, January 8th, 2022.

Janet was born in Roanoke, Virginia to Charles and Cleopatra “Cleo” Baker. In 1966, she married Kurt Ferst, bought a home in Berwyn Heights where they raised two children, Bridget and Kurt Alex, and both lived until their passing. She retired from the Department of Agriculture, where she worked for over 30 years.

Besides work, she enjoyed the beach, shopping, practicing her faith, and celebrating with friends. Janet touched many lives with her smile, heart-warming personality, ability to be truly genuine, and Catholic faith.

Janet is survived by her daughter, Bridget Ferst, son, Kurt Alexander Fesrt, and grandchildren, Alexandra, Emma, and Elijah.
