Jasmine Renee Gilbert

May 7, 1987 — July 15, 2023

Bowie, Maryland

On May 7, 1987, our beautiful butterfly Jasmine Renee Gilbert was born from the cocoon of Tina Lynn Morse-Towler and Antonio T. Gilbert Sr. By the Grace of Almighty God, she was transformed into a graceful Angel when he called her home on July 15, 2023, at the tender age of 36. Jasmine now sores the heavens with her forever wings as she watches over each of the loved ones she left behind. Our beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, and friend is no more and flies endlessly in the skies of heaven.

Jasmine was preceded in death by her mother, Tina Lynn Morse-Towler, Grandmother, Mary Morse, Brother, Michael, and Sister, Faith.

Jasmine will forever be remembered by her father, Antonio T. Gilbert Sr., sister Megan, brother Antonio Jr., grandfather Joseph Morse, step-father James Towler, extended family members, and her housemates Ashley Day, Alfreda Herres, and Shannon Pearson.

Jasmine's smile, her zest for dancing, and her love of music is what brought joy to her life throughout the years. It has been said that if you wanted a quick response from her, you had to turn off her radio or tv while it was playing her favorite music. It was only then that you would have her undivided attention. Old School Gospel and R&B music was her choice. It wasn't a quiet moment in her home or day program; if it were, it wouldn't last very long; ask any of her family members or caregivers.

Now if you wanted her to put on a show, turn up the music loud and start dancing, and she would cut a rug with you, smiling and laughing simultaneously. Jasmine will be truly missed by everyone she left behind. The music never stops in Heaven jam on Jazzy, we love you….

She also leaves behind a very special group of devoted staff from the Arc of Prince George's County and devoted nurses from the Quality One Care agency who will cherish her many memories. The family would like to thank all those who called, texted, and prayed for them and their loved one, Jasmine, who has joined her mother, grandmother, sister, brother, and many other family members in heaven. It brings them great ease to know she was loved and will be missed by many. In place of flowers, the family would like for you to plant a tree in her name or donate to the Arc of Prince George's County in the hopes that other individuals like her with disabilities can continue to live, thrive and enjoy their lives to the fullest with the same agency that she loved.
