Jason Jermane George Shaw

January 15, 1988 — October 21, 2023

In Loving Memory of Jason Jermaine George Shaw Jason Jermaine George Shaw, born on Friday, January 15, 1988, in Silver Spring, Maryland departed this life on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at the tender age of 35. While his time with us was tragically cut short, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Jason was a dedicated father who adored his six beloved children: Janiyah Shaw (15), Joel Shaw (13), Ricardo Barbour (13), Paityn Shaw (9), Macyin Shaw (7), and Railyn Kendall (5). He worked tirelessly to provide for them, and his love and influence will continue to shape their lives in the future. His commitment to his family was unwavering and inspiring. In addition to his children, Jason is survived by his loving mother, Audrey Shaw, who provided constant support and care throughout his life. His grandparents, Violda and Valmore Robinson also played a significant role in his upbringing, offering him love and guidance that left a lasting impact. Jason is reunited in heaven with his father, John Bernard, who preceded him in death. Jason's brother, Arnold, stood by his side through the ups and downs of life, and their unbreakable bond served as a source of strength and companionship. His sister, Jonichea Bernard, with whom he shared a special and unbreakable loving bond, will forever cherish the love and memories they shared. Beyond his immediate family, Jason leaves behind nieces, numerous aunties, uncles, and cousins who will dearly miss him. His warm and friendly personality touched the lives of many, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jason's early life took him to Jamaica, where he lived with his grandparents, aunts, and uncles. This experience shaped his character and instilled in him a strong sense of family and cultural identity. At the age of 9, he returned to the United States with his brother Arnold, and they both attended and graduated from Thomas Stones Elementary School, Thomas Stones Middle School, and North Western High School. It was during these formative years that he developed a love for sports, particularly football, with his favorite team being the Washington Commanders, formerly known as the Washington Redskins. Jason will be remembered for his devotion and love for his children, his welcoming spirit, and the laughter and warmth he brought to the lives of his family and friends. Although he has departed this world, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who love him. May his soul rest in peace.
