Jean P.Fippin of New Carrollton, Maryland passed away on August 28, 2022. Jean was the daughter of Perry Clifton Phillips and Gusta Mae Phillips. She was the loving wife of James Fippin. She was a loving mother to two girls, grandmother of four, and great grandmother of four.
Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brothers; Alvin, Burnie, Roy, Charles, John and Herman Phillips; sisters, Helen Woods, Lorene Smith, Betty Treadway, Chris Nordseth, and Nell Fox.
Those who remain include her daughter Kim Cwalina and husband Frank, her daughter Colin Goodenough and husband Glayde, Grandson Andrew Reece and wife Danielle, Grandson Alex Reece and wife Ashley, Grandson Austin Reece and soon-to- be wife Megan and granddaughter Brianna Reece.
Jean enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, playing Scrabble, and Face Time with her daughters. She also loved University of Maryland Basketball and the Washington Nationals. In her younger years she lived and worked overseas and traveled to many countries. She was a member of Beltsville Baptist Church and watched the services faithfully as recently her health did not allow her to attend.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, September 2, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
The graveside committal will be immediately after the service at Maryland National Cemetery.
Jean will be missed greatly by her family and friends. We are confident that she is in Heaven with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
