Husband of Barbara Alderman for 59 years; father of Reginald Alderman; son of Reginald Haines Alderman and Madge Virginia Alderman. Jerry attended Montgomery Blair High School, and he was just shy of graduating when he went into the U.S. Marine Corps. When he came back, he effortlessly attained his GED. Jerry received a Medal of Honor for good conduct in the Marine Corps.
