Jesse G. Cooley

Beloved father of Jeffrey (Holly) Cooley; loving grandfather of Jeffrey Cooley, and Jessica Cooley; brother of Ruby White and Lois Barrett.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on March 6, 1940, Jesse was the fifth of Ray and Elizabeth Cooley’s six children.   He grew up attending the Shadyside Seventh-day Adventist Church and developed two important relationships, a deep faith in God and an unmatched love for Sally Ann Fornal.  A six year courtship led to their wedding on July 31, 1960.  They were married until Sally’s death parted them on July 28, 2013.  Jesse was a successful businessman, rising from an hourly painter to become Vice President of Claims for a large insurance company.  Jesse was a talented conversationalist; he could talk with anyone about anything.  But most of all Jesse was a family man; a devoted husband, a fantastic father, a wonderful uncle, and a phenomenal grandfather.  He will be deeply missed and we look forward to seeing him again when Jesus returns.
