John G.F. Jenkins

The family of John Gill Fischer Jenkins announces with sorrow his passing on August 9, 2023 in College Park, MD. John is survived by his wife, Margaret Jenkins, his children, Harold Davis, Melissa Garonzik, John F. Jenkins, and Joseph Jenkins, and his nephews, Jimmy Edmondson and Danny Edmondson. John was born in Baltimore, MD. He served honorably in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and achieved the rank of E4. John went on to become an accomplished and respected member of the Elevator Union. During his 45 year career, John was known for being a loyal friend and always made time to help his Union brothers in need. John loved attending Union picnics, cooking on his grill, having a well-deserved drink after a hard day's work, and vacationing at his timeshares. John considered his greatest accomplishment to be his children. There was nothing John enjoyed more than a gathering with the people he loved most, so the Jenkins Family is hosting a service and celebration of life in his loving memory.
