Jose Moreno Mendoza

Jose Moreno Mendoza was from El Cantón de la Chorrera of the Department of Santa Rosa de Lima, El Salvador. He was born to his parents Juan Moreno and Norberta Mendoza on December 1st 1927. On May 28th 1949 at the age of 21, he married the late Julia Alvarez Moreno and had seven children. He was the foundation of the home. He was strong and resilient. He worked as a blacksmith and farmer for many years. His ability to solve problems with simple tools and machines was extraordinary and served him well to provide for his family. There was nothing more important than his family. In the early 1990s, he and his wife migrated to the state of Maryland in the United States to be permanent residents and to be close to their children who had already migrated prior. While in the United States, Jose found work in upholstery and in an assisted living community for seniors. Eventually Jose retired with his wife and was able to dedicate all of his time to their family, which grew tremendously to now having over 20 grandchildren and dozens of great grandchildren. He was a man of faith and always kept his family in his prayers. He was strong, intelligent, crafty, and could always find a way to make you laugh with a joke. His loss is felt throughout his family and friends and he will be deeply missed. His memory will continue to live on by those who have survived him.

Jose Moreno Mendoza was the father of Felix Moreno, Jose L. Moreno, Maria Benitez, Daysi M. Moreno, Luis Moreno, Fausto Moreno, and Lilian Cubillo; grandfather of Roger Moreno, Jose U. Moreno, Aleida Moreno Velasquez, Elmer Moreno, Cristian Morales, Ferdy Moreno, Libby Moreno, Randy Moreno, Egdan Moreno, Joanna Benitez, Julia Pacheco, Eduardo Benitez, Daysi G. Hernandez, Marvin Moreno, Yuliza Argueta, Jorge Moreno, Eloisa Moreno, Eric Moreno, Hector Moreno, Diana Moreno, Clarissa Moreno, Kevin Moreno, and Kenia Cubillo; great grandfather of over 30 great grandchildren.
