Kenneth Noel Morphy

Kenneth N. Morphy, 69, of Laurel, Maryland, passed away on July 28, 2022, after a lengthy
illness. Mr. Morphy was born on Christmas Day, 1952 in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada to
Alexander and Dorothy Stocker Morphy. He was a graduate of Hobart College in Geneva, NY.
Ken was a lover of books, old movies, and all things music, especially guitars.
Mr. Morphy was employed by the Social Security Administration for 32 years in a variety of
positions including Claims Representative, Office of Hearings and Appeals Analyst, and Office
of Disability Analyst.
Ken is survived by his wife of 35 years, Martha Sluty Morphy; brother Charles Christopher
Morphy and his wife Jodyne; sister-in-law, Lynn Morphy; brother-in-law and sister-in-law,
Stephen and Katherine Sluty; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his
parents and a brother, Murray Morphy.
Services for Mr. Morphy will be at a later date. Contributions in Ken’s memory may be made to
the charity of your choice.
