Age 61

Kevin Kincius, 61, of Greenbelt, MD died at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring, MD on Friday,

January 24, 2025 after an almost three year battle with prostate cancer.

He lived his entire life in Greenbelt participating on the following teams:

Greenbelt Boys & Girls club football, Greenbelt Little League baseball with the Orioles,

Greenbelt’s Finest softball, coached/managed adult coed softball, played goalie for Greenbelt

coed soccer team. Within the Greenbelt coed adult leagues, he was on multiple championship teams.

Kevin enjoyed daily walks and runs through Greenbelt, watching golf, the Washington Capitals

hockey team and NASCAR on TV. Relished time with close friends - Thomas Noël, Donnie

Dorsey, Mark Opsasnick and Joe Hawk.

Numerous times he traveled to Fort Ashby, WV to attend the famous Greenbelt Annual Maggs

camping trip the first week in March.

Kevin retired September 30, 2024 after serving for 36 years as a letter carrier at the University

of Maryland. He toiled part-time for Greenbelt Recreation Department for many years.

After Sunday Mass he visited his 99-year-old mother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kazimer and nephew, Ryan Brown.

His surviving siblings are Colleen (Charles), Charles aka Whitey (Teresa), and Joe.

Other family members are nephews: Andrew, Thomas, Christopher (Bethany), Patrick (Katie),

Joe Vincent, and Justin; nieces: Juliana (James) and Jacqueline; and numerous grandnieces

and grandnephews.
