On Monday, March 12th Kirby Sy Smith Jr. unexpectedly passed away. Born to Kirby Sr. and Georgie A. Smith on July 12, 1943 in Washington, D.C. He was a lifetime resident of Maryland spending the last 35 years in Beltsville. He was a fun loving person with a great sense of humor who loved his family. His great big welcoming smile always showed he was glad to see you and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by four children; Dawn M. Brew and Kirby S. Smith III both of Rhode Island; Sharon A. Reyes and Elizabeth A. Smith of Germantown, Maryland; he also has 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He leaves behind siblings; Daisy A. Coffin, Arthur D."Danny" Smith, and Georgie A. "Kinky" Evans. Preceded in death by his parents and three siblings; Elizabeth A. "Lizzy", William C. "Billy" Smith, and half-brother Luis R. "Richard" Smith.
Interment following funeral service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Suitland, Maryland where many generations of his family rest.
