Lucille had a “Heart of Gold” and strongly believed in the importance of family; always putting them first and foremost. She delighted in spending time with her children and grandchildren and never failed to express her love for them. Although she faced uncertain times regarding her illness, she would often close her eyes, and when asked if anything was wrong; she would reply “I’m alright! I’m just praying, and just thankful to be alive!” Lucille enjoyed listening to music especially Andrea Bocelli, Aretha Franklin, and James Cleveland. She also enjoyed spending time watching tennis. Despite a number of hospital admissions, she would often rebound determined to never stop praying and asking God to heal her. She never lost hope and was steadfast in her faith exclaiming “You have to put your trust in God because He won’t put any more on you than you can bear.”
