Luther J. (L.J.) Bryan

September 21, 1930 — October 26, 2015

Luther (L.J.) Bryan of Silver Spring, MD was called to rest by his Lord and Savior. Born September 21, 1930 to Glen and Inez Bryan in Detroit, Michigan. Luther's family moved to Asheville, NC in 1931. Luther is survived by his loving wife Ruth Louise of 65 years, son Ronald (Joanne) of Glenwood, MD; daughter Catherine Muskovac (John) of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Scott Bryan, Allison Hardesty; great-grandchildren Greyson Bryan, Collin Bryan of Bethesda, MD, Sloane Hardesty, Luke Hardesty of Chicago, IL. Luther and Louise relocated from Asheville, NC to Beltsville, MD in 1950. Luther and a partner established Rivers & Bryan Masonry, Inc. in the 50's. Luther established KaRon Masonry in 1967. Luther's son Ronald and grandson Scott currently own and operate KaRon Masonry. In April. 2015 Luther was honored for 50 years of service as a member of the Masonic Temple of the Birmingham Lodge of Maryland. He was deacon of Beltsville Baptist Church for many years and currently a member of Olney Baptist Church of Olney, MD and Bayshore Community Chapel of Ft. Myers, FL. He was also a long time member of the Beltsville Lions Club and served as Lion King. Subsequent to retirement, Luther and Louise spent the winter months in Ft. Myers, FL.
