Marie Bena, 79, died in her home in Calverton, Maryland, on Friday, July 24. She was a daughter, mother, wife, grandmother and committed volunteer, giving her time to her community and causes important to her. As a young girl, she first volunteered as a "candy striper" in a local hospital. Her last volunteer service was fundraising for Laurel Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband of 54 years Frank, her daughter AnnaMarie, her son Robert, her daughter-in-law Nikki, her two grandchildren Katie and Dylan, and her mother, Angelina Ferrante.
