Over 53 years ago a child was born into this world to Charles and Lottie Brooks. He was the youngest of the four children they shared, and his siblings were always reminded of that fact. His mother would always say, "He is the baby", so they always looked out for him. Marlon enjoyed skateboarding and tinkering with mechanical devices that were in need of repair. He could take an old radio that was ready for the garbage and have it working again. Marlon started working at a very young age, which taught him to be dependable and industrious. He worked an array of jobs before getting into the field that best suited him. Marlon worked as a laborer, sanitation worker, and even a cook...where he just could not avoid cutting himself along with the food. He later found his way into the auto mechanics field, where he thrived. Marlon has always had a mechanical inclination and joining his passion with his profession was very fulfilling to him. He looked forward to going to the shop daily and performing his job. Marlon was a man that had a zeal for family and he was always thinking of ways to bring the family closer together. He was a teen father, who did not always know how to handle that situation, but he loved his firstborn son very much. His youngest son and daughter also meant the world to him. Marlon would always talk about them and plan ways to get all three of them together. He was driven by his desire to help others. Marlon never seemed to let people upset him. He was very forgiving and chose to do no harm, even when others harmed him.
He is survived by his wife Jullian Francis Brooks; mother of Lottie Brooks; sons Joshua Brooks and Nathaniel Brooks; daughter Precious Seth; sisters Victoria Brooks and Norvella Abrams; brothers Charles Brooks, Derek Brooks and James Abrams; sister-in-law Angela Chappelle Brooks; aunts Burnell Cureton, Bertha Mason, Carlyta Chase, Lynn Pitt, Carolyn Chase, Sharon Chase and Virginia Chapman; uncles Sam Gross, Rodney Chase, Ricky Chase, and a hosts of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
