Mary Leas Smith

passed peacefully on Tuesday, April 4. Beloved wife of the late Kevin P. Smith; mother of Patrick (Fara) Smith, Virginia "Ginny" (John) Woods, Cynthia "Cindy" Tickel and Martin "Marty" Smith (Fiancée, Deb); she had 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Mary is survived by a multitude of grateful friends and neighbors. They have been recipients of her kind heart and giving nature for a long time. There has never been a more giving and selfless woman who will be eternally missed.

She was an active member of St Marks in Hyattsville for decades and enjoyed helping weekly.  She also enjoyed bowling with friends, an occasional Kahlua N Cream and the time she spent with her Birthday Club Ladies. She gave to her children endlessly while helping the needy and pinching pennies herself.  She and Kevin enjoyed taking cruises, going to Bowie BaySox games and spending time in Ocean City.
