Mary Anne (Mcandrew) Scott

Mary Anne died on January 1, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.   She was 59 and was born on June 30, 1957, in Cheverly Maryland.  For most of her adult life, she lived in or around Greenbelt.  Mary Anne was born and raised on Eastway Road with her brothers and sisters.  She attended St. Hugh’s School, Greenbelt Junior High and graduated from Parkdale High School in 1975.  For a time, Mary Anne was a member of the Laurel Volunteer Rescue Squad in Laurel MD.  She worked in the medical field at various hospitals in the Washington, DC area.  Mary Anne was a gifted artist and over the years she took particular pride in her charcoal drawings.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas J. McAndrew, Sr. & Margaret A. McAndrew of Greenbelt, her sister Margaret (Peggy) McAndrew Jones.  Mary Anne is survived by her son William Scott of Greenbelt and siblings:  Thomas J. McAndrew, Jr. (Mary), of Chestertown, MD.; Michael McAndrew (Karen) of Greenbelt; Patrick J. McAndrew (Linda) of Greenbelt; and Kathleen (McAndrew) Legendre (Scott) of Greenbelt.  She is also survived by her many cousins, nieces and nephews.
