Melody Lee Mcfadden

Melody Lee McFadden of Beltsville, Maryland gained her angel wings on December 28th, 2022  in Virginia Beach, VA at the age of 61.
Melody’s life would seem too short, but those of us who were blessed to be touched by her, understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that she stayed here. Her smile and determination to see any obstacle through will be greatly missed.

Melody retired from her career after 35 years in the government where she served as an IT specialist.  Melody was an active member of the Catholic Church where she enjoyed teaching choir to children.  In addition to loving coffee, painting, reading and the beach, she was a true reflection of her name- she absolutely loved music.  Most importantly Melody was a terrific mom and grandmother. Her children and grandchildren were her life. There was never a day that went by she didn't brag about her kids.

Melody leaves behind three children, David (Ashley) McFadden, Shelley (Jason) Smith and Christopher (Hayley) McFadden; four grandchildren, Cameron Smith, Chase McFadden, Zachary McFadden and Penelope McFadden; her father, Kenneth (Margaret) Dent; and four siblings, Kenneth, Jacob, Christy, and Jaqueline. She also built an extensive network of loving friends that she considered family from coast to coast. She truly loved to love people.

Melody was preceded in death by her mother, Janet; husband, David; Grandson, Tyler; and beloved family dog, Dallas.
