Beloved daughter  of Ann DePlatchett  and the late Raymond DePlatchett. Sister of Susan DePlatchett. Nancy had a career of over 40 years working in Arts Education in Prince George’s County Public Schools and at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts. Throughout her career she received numerous awards for her work promoting arts education. . Her work as Arts Integration Coordinator at the Thomas Pullen School for Creative & Performing Arts was her joy. She received two National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Seminar Grants; was selected for the Rhode Island School of Design Summer Honors Seminar; presented at the US Embassy in Montevideo, Uruguay; and was honored in the book “Women of in Prince George’s County.” Most recently she was honored by the Maryland Women’s Heritage Center in the exhibit “Images and Expressions: Maryland Women in the Arts.”
