Naomi Harrison Webb

Naomi Harrison Webb, baby daughter to the late Benjamin and Bessie Harrison, was born on August 15, 1924. She grew up in Baltimore City, Maryland with her siblings, Gilbert, Josephine, and Ruth, who have all preceded her in death. Naomi was a resident in Northeast Washington, DC for many years and then in Calverton, Maryland since 1974.

Naomi attended the public schools in Baltimore City, Maryland. After completing high school, she was employed with the General Accounting Office in Washington, DC. While in Washington, DC, Naomi married Charles Russell Williams and had 3 daughters, the eldest is Sheila, then Renee and Denise. Later in life, Naomi married John Webb and he preceded her in death.

Naomi has 7 grandchildren, Angelo D.T. Smith, Paul Chadwick, Rachel Chadwick, Lambert Fleming III, Robin Jones, Lisa Napper, and Kim Grimes, and numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Naomi loved her family very much and found great joy in spending time with them. She was considered the matriarch of the family.

While in Washington, DC, Naomi was a member of the Upper Room Baptist Church for many years. Some of her dear friends from that church continued a deep friendship, traveling together and encouraging each other in their walk with the Lord. After her move in 1974 to the Calverton area, she found great solace in becoming a Seventh Day Adventist member. She was baptized and had many friends through her church family. Throughout the years, Naomi was very active with the SDA church in studying the Word of God through bible studies with Hercules and Pat Pinkney. Naomi loved the Word of God and found great joy in studying with her bible group each week. The calls were such a delight to her and she could not wait to pray and to discuss the Bible.

Naomi had a rich full life on this earth and will be sorely missed. We know this is not the end and we will see her again one day. Heaven is our eternal home where joy and healing and life are present every day with our Heavenly Father!
