Nathalie C. White

December 2, 1925 — April 30, 2020

Riderwood Village

Nathalie White of Silver Spring, MD passed away on April 30th at Arbor Ridge.  She married Ed, her husband of 62 years on April 24, 1948. They had 4 children and 1 grandson. Nathalie graduated from Philadelphia High School for Girls and went on to study education at Temple University. She taught elementary school for a brief time and then became a full-time mom to her 4 children. She returned to working in the schools after her youngest son was in high school. She worked in the library at Concord School.  She was active in the Altar Guild and Friendship Chapter at Church of Our Savior in Silver Spring Maryland. She was a member of PEO Chapter H. Nathalie was also a member of the Hillandale Women’s club.  For decades she and some ladies in her neighborhood had the Friday wine and cheese club meetings at each other’s houses.  She was a big supporter of the Greenbelt Dog Training freestyle and parade drill team. She loved watching her grand dogs march in the parades and dance.

Nathalie was able to have a joyous life the last several years in thanks to the various caregivers that were her assistants from Comfort Keepers in Rockville, Maryland.  They helped her to continue to do the things she loved.  Montgomery County Hospice was very instrumental in making her last few months a peaceful time.

Nathalie is wife of the late Edmund W. White.  Devoted mother of Christine Caldarale, William White (Cheryl Mathews-White), Thomas White and James White.  Cherished grandmother of Robert Caldarale.  Proceeded in death by her parents Oliver Cadwallader and Kathrine (Obenland) Cadwallader. .

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, celebration of life service will be held at a later date along with private internment.
