Nellie Louise (Riffle) Casey

On Wednesday, January 28, 2015, of Silver Spring, Md. She was 84. Growing up a farm girl, and completing nurses’ training in Uniontown, Pa, she was a nurse at Emergency Hospital in Washington, D.C., on the beat of MPDC Sgt. John (Jay) Casey, who became her husband of 61 years. Nellie is survived by him, their two daughters, Susan (Jim) and Regina (Kevin) and grandchildren Casey and Sean. She is remembered as a great friend, wonderful mom, loving wife, and enthusiastic grandmother. A memorial service will be held at the Chapel at Riderwood Village, 3110 Gracefield Rd, Silver Spring, MD 20904 on Tuesday, February 3, at 1pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Riderwood Benevolent Fund. Interment at a later date at Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery.
