Phung Minh Vo

Silver Spring – Ms. Phung Thi Vo, 53, of Silver Spring, MD, formerly Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, died Monday 12/19/2022 at Holy Cross Hospital after succumbing to her battle with metastatic cancer.

Born in Ho Chi Minh City of Vietnam, Ms. Vo comes from a family of eight siblings and was the youngest of the group. She spent most of her life in Vietnam and came to America in 2015 where she began her battle with cancer. Within her community she was seen as a kind and quiet person. She enjoyed baking sweets as well as eating them with ice cream being her favorite. She could always be seen taking care of her skin and was really interested in beauty and makeup. She was a giver and often thought of her nieces and nephews around the holidays.

As the youngest of her family, she is directly survived by her son Long Nguyen as well as her other seven siblings and her mother. Family, friends, and others whose lives were impacted or touched by Ms. Vo are invited to her funeral located at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Rd, Beltsville, MD 20705, to reminisce, grieve, support each other and just chat. The funeral service will be from 10 to 12 and visitation at 1 to 3 on Monday, January 16 2023
