It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dearly beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend Prince Babatunde Adebowale Orishagbemi. Prince Orishagbemi transitioned into glory on Saturday, March 2nd, 2024, after a brief illness.

Prince Orishagbemi was a resident of Lanham, Maryland until his death.
He was the eldest child of Oba Joseph Adeleye Orishagbemi and madam Adunola Oguntoye of the Atta royal family of Ayede Ekiti in Ekiti State of Nigeria. Prince Orishagbemi migrated to the United States in the early 1980s to further his education. He studied at Prince George's Community College and later at the University of the District of Columbia where he earned bachelor's degrees in political science, philosophy and urban studies.
An avid writer, he authored several books and continued working on a few playwright projects towards the end.
Prince Orishagbemi is survived by his wife Olayinka, Michael (son), brothers, sisters, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
