Raymond Adolphus Jacob, Jr. was born on August 22, 1958 at Providence Hospital in Washington, D.C. to the late Raymond A. Jacob and Jacqueline Walker Jacob. Raymond grew up in Washington, D.C. and Maryland and attended DC public and Catholic schools. He graduated from Good Counsel HS. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Zoology from Howard University and BS degree in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
Raymond worked for the Department of Navy as a Computer Analyst for many years. Some of his pastimes included Civil War reenactments, reading books of different genres, short films and engaging in thoughtful political debates. He enjoyed eating at Popeyes and drinking tea with honey from Starbucks.
A beloved brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, neighbor and friend, Raymond departed this world on December 1, 2021.
Preceded in death by his father and mother, Raymond leaves to cherish his memories, four siblings: Lynette Umez-Eronini (husband Dr. Eronini Umez Eronini), Mustafa Al-Salam (wife Gwenn), Stephen Jacob, Sr. (wife Andrea) and Joseph Jacob (wife Kathleen); nieces and nephews: Stephen Jr. and Lawrence Jacob, William Jawando (wife Michele), Iheanyi (wife Sabira), Amarachi, Iheoma, Ikechukwu (wife Chandra); Sadiqa, Nadir (wife Raheema), Azim, Alamin, Kamila, Amad, Michael, Aaliyah and Timothy Al-Salam; good friend Mercedes and a host of other great nieces, nephews, friends and relatives.
