Born on April 9, 1923 in Butler Co., PA, to William and Pearl Schar; beloved husband of the late Mary C. Schar; father of Raymond D. (Peggy) Schar, Jr., John C. Schar, and the late William B. Schar; grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Relatives and friends may call at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, Md, on Monday, October 6; from 7 to 9pm, where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7; at 11am with one hour viewing prior. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Interment October 9; in Evans City Cemetery, Evans City, PA.
