Richard "Dick" Sipes, husband of the late Peggy Sipes, nee Benson, passed quietly in his sleep on July 8, 2015 at the age of 73. He was brother to his late siblings Reds Sipes and Evelyn Kuhn. He is survived by his daughter by guardianship, Tammy McClanahan, her husband John and son John Jr., his cousin Melody McFadden and her husband Dave, and children, David, Shelley and Chris and their families. Also surviving are his nephews Gary and Edward Sipes and niece Kathy Satterfield and their families. Richard worked for over 40 yrs at Goddard/NASA, lastly as a Systems Administrator for Lockheed Martin.
