Richard "Dick" Arthur Yost a retired project manager and resident of Columbia, Md, died on Wednesday, June, 2nd, 2021 at the age of 78 after a long health battle.
He grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Coolidge High School. Dick worked at C&P telephone before moving onto Martin Marietta. After leaving Martin Marietta he worked for TPS and McDonald Douglas. Over the years he held various other jobs, including one that took he and his family overseas for a few years, allowing them to travel and explore. Upon returning to the States, he went to work for Master Key and ultimately retired from there. Dick loved the Washington Redskins and University of Maryland, always cheering them on no matter what.
After retirement, Dick spent his time watching any and all sports, reading the newspaper, and catching up on various reruns of old tv shows.
Dick is survived by his wife, Kathleen; his children, Michael Yost (Cindy), Teresa Yost, Carin Yost; step-daughters, Joanne Wuwer-Saukas (Michael), Kathie Whitmoyer (Daniel), Eileen Campbell (Allen); grandchildren, John M. Yost, Earl Scott, Meghan Campbell, Gabrielle Whitmoyer; great-grandchildren, Jonah and Allister Yost.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle Yost and his father, John Yost .
