Robert William Husemann (91) of Beltsville, MD passed away peacefully on October 14, 2022.

Bob was born in Chicago, IL on May 24, 1931 and spent most of his childhood years in Warren, Ohio.

He graduated from Valparaiso University in 1952 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After serving in the Army Intelligence Corp during the Korean Conflict, he went on to have a successful career as an engineer in the Washington, D.C. area. Bob was the Chief Engineer for the U.S. Capitol Power Plant until he retired in 1997. He had a lifelong love of music and was a talented organist. After retiring, Bob and his wife, Mary Ann, enjoyed traveling, golfing and spending time with their ever growing family.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Mary Ann Smith; 4 step children Mark (Mary) Smith, Karen (Joe) Roche, Kevin (Karin) Smith, and Brian (Karen) Smith; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He has two nephews, Robert and Paul Peters. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Eileen; his parents Edgar and Ruth Husemann; his sister Dorothea and her husband Robert Peters.
