Robert Pease

June 30, 1936 — December 13, 2020

Bob Pease, age 84, died on Sunday, December 13, 2020 of heart failure.  He was born on June 30, 1936 in McNalls Corners, New York to Chester (Chet) and Alyce Pease. Bob grew up in Gasport, NY and graduated from De Salles High School. He attended Catholic University where he met his wife Ellen Harding.  They were married on May 5, 1962 and moved to Beltsville, MD in 1966 where they lived for 51 years before moving to Laurel, MD in 2017.

Bob worked for the Environmental Protection Agency for over 20 years.  After retirement he created a home improvement company, P's Inc, where he built decks, replaced windows, put on siding, etc.  He was active in the Knights of Columbus for many years and is a past Grand Knight. Over the years "P's" ran the snack bar, worked in catering, helped organize pig roasts, and Super Bowl pools and parties.  Bob was always generous with his time and his tools.  His friends and family knew they could count on his help at any time.
Bob was a big baseball fan and a life-long Yankees fan.  He also rooted for the Washington Senators and more recently the Washington Nationals.  He was a Washington (Redskins) fan and he enjoyed participating in many sports pools. Bob was an avid dancer and loved to jitter-bug with his wife and daughters and anyone else he could convince. He had a good sense of humor and sarcastic wit.  He loved to be surrounded by family and friends and really enjoyed a good party. He travelled frequently throughout the country with his wife Ellen and various friends and family.  His favorite was Aruba and went there many times. At home during retirement he read westerns and put together many, many jigsaw puzzles.
He was loved by his wife Ellen; daughters Theresa (Bill) Brandt, Colleen Duffy, Gloria (Tommy) Scafone, and Erin (Tony) Birdsong; grandchildren Andrew, Gavin and Kelton Brandt, Jamie Duffy, T.J., Bobby and Tony Scafone, and Danielle, Travis, Josie and Cole Birdsong; brothers John (Nancy), David (Joyce), and Rocky (the late Dorothy) Pease; and many other friends and family, who all have fond memories and stories to tell. He will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who know him.
Friends and family may visit at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 8603 Contee Rd., Laurel, MD 20708 on Friday 12/18/2020 from 10 am until 10:45 am.  Mass will begin at 11 am.
