Robyn Marie Murray of Gambrills, MD, passed on to everlasting heavenly peace on Wednesday, October 8, 2014. She was born November 26, 1960 to the late Lawrence Grady and Carole Compton McGinthy.
Robyn found her joy in life being a devoted mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. Her life centered around those that she loved and cared for. Her most precious gift was her children, Keith Wayne and Shawn Patrick. Robyn was devoted to Scott Murray, her loving husband of 14 years; She was deeply loved by her “Dad” Archie McGinthy; she was a wonderful “big” sister to Timothy Grady, Anthony McGinthy and her sister-in-law Vickie McGinthy. She was the perfect “Auntie” to Emily, Jack, Amber, Ashley and Emma. Robyn found so much happiness in life; simply by being kind to others, she always had a kind word to say, be it to a stranger, friends, neighbors, or family. Robyn loved life, and was loved by all that new her. She will be deeply missed.
The service to celebrate her life will be from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Monday, October 13th, at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD 20705, (301-937-1707). The family will receive friends at 3:30 p.m. at College Park United Methodist Church, 9601 Rhode Island Ave, College Park, 20740 (301-345-1010).
One of Robyn’s greatest joys was helping animals. The family is collecting donations for local animal shelters in her memory. New or used donations of blankets, towels, food, toys or money would be greatly appreciated.
