Heath, Roland, 94, peacefully passed away from natural causes on May 25 th , 2014 at his home in Lanham, Maryland. He is survived by his wife of almost 73 years, Othell, and his children Gary and Julie. He was predeceased by his daughter, Donna. Roland was born on March 27, 1920 in Lawrence, Michigan. Among many of his jobs, he worked for 40+ years as a Machinist/Electrician for the Singer-Link Company in Silver Spring, simultaneously he ran his own heating and air conditioning firm for several decades and he was the air conditioning engineer for the National Theater in Washington, D.C. for more than twenty years. He was an avid woodworker, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel and taking care of special projects for his children and grandchildren. He is survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren, plus one on the way.
Visitation with the family is scheduled on June 5 th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Borgwardt Funeral Home, 4400 Powder Mill Road, Beltsville, MD and the memorial service will be held at Bethany Christian Church on June 6 th at 11am located at 7128 Allentown Road, Ft.
