RoseAnn Taylor formerly of Beltsville, Maryland, more recently of Westminster, Maryland passed away peacefully with her husband and sons by her side on January 2nd, 2023 at the age of 78. She was born June 2, 1944, to Alfred and Helen York who predeceased her. She is survived by her loving husband Warren Taylor; Son’s Jeff (wife Pam) and Greg; Grandchildren; Brandon (wife Brenna), Nelson, Alex and Maddie; Great granddaughter; Cora; Sister; MaryAlice Combs (husband Bob).
Roseann was a loving, giving, and faithful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and caring friend to all. She was married to Warren on May 7th, 1966, in Mount Carmel, PA. They made their home in Beltsville, Maryland where they lived for over 50 years and raised their two sons. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
After moving to Maryland, Roseann initially took a job with the Securities & Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C. and subsequently went to work for the Dept. of Agriculture in Beltsville, MD (Beltsville Agriculture Center/Farm) where she enjoyed taking her sons to work with her on occasion. After leaving federal service Roseann went to work for the Prince George’s Public School System as head secretary at Beltsville Elementary for 20 years where she loved to nurture the children and run the office. She was so happy her grandchildren attended her school, as it allowed her additional opportunities to spend time with them, as she was always so proud to talk about them with her coworkers.
Roseann was a devoted Roman Catholic and long-time member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Beltsville. She was very involved in the church, helping to organize and run the annual Christmas Bazaar and help in the food pantry for many years and participated regularly in church activities. In her spare time, Roseann enjoyed cooking for family and friends. You were always greeted at her home with a warm meal and plenty of food.
