Roxie Victoria Smith was born on April 16th, 1930 in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica to Parents Septimius and Ellen Dyer. She went to school in St. Elizabeth where she completed and excelled in all her general studies. As a young child Roxie loved to sew clothing and bake with her father.  At the age of 20, Roxie had her first daughter Barbara, followed by her son Danny, surviving twin daughter Darnett, Diana and June.

She later moved to Kingston to pursue her career as a cook at the Immaculate Conception High School. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior and was Baptized along with her sister Lillian.

Roxie met her husband Locksley Smith in Kingston that she later married and had children, Patrick, Howard, Grace, and Tyrone. The family relocated to the United States in 1983 and while there, she worked hard as a nanny and raised her children with her husband. They later retired and moved back to Jamaica. However, Roxie missing her kids and grand-kids returned shortly after to live with son Tyrone then finally settling in Georgia with daughter Grace. While visiting Maryland in June 2019, she had a stroke. Almost a year later, but not before reaching her 90th birthday, Roxie succumbed to her stroke on May 11, 2020.

She leaves behind a loving family which includes husband Locksley, daughters Darnett, Diana, June, and Grace. Daughter in laws Tracey, Toni, and Althea. Sons, Danny, Patrick, Howard, and Tyrone. Grand Daughters, Cathy, Kaisha, Tanicka, Jodi, Jahphia, Ashley, Paige, Justice, Pari, Presslea, Faith, Aaliyah, Kendra, and Christina. Grandsons, Kasim, Jahreem, Andrew, Steven, Michael, Patrick Jr (P.J), Ethan, Jerry, and James. Great Grandchildren Micah, Chloe, Jayce, Aria, Jordan, Averie, and Liam. Sisters Lillian Bryan and Myrtle Dyer as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends who she loved dearly. Roxie lived an awesome fulfilling life and will be in our hearts and memories forever.
