Rufino Artola, age 65, passed away on January 9, 2022, in Washington, D.C. Rufino was born on September 10, 1956, in El Salvador Dept. La Union La Amatal to Dominga Artola and Martin Paniagua. Rufino married his first and only love Romilia Artola on March 22, 1979. They ended up having three children, and four grandchildren.

Rufino proved himself to be a wonderful and dedicated father, and later a grandfather. Rufino was a hard worker and strived to make life for his children better. When he was not working to provide for his family, he enjoyed exercise, painting, gardening, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with his family. Rufino was known for his smile, infectious laugh, and his giving nature.

Although he has left his wife and three children behind, he will always be in their hearts and minds for the rest of their lives. Rufino is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Romilia Artola, and his three children Dominga Artola, Lucia Artola, and Jose Artola. He is also survived by his grandchildren Jasmine Chavez, Kelvin Franco, Julian Cruz, and Charlie Cruz, and his sons-in law Julio Cruz and Oscar Chavez. He also leaves many devoted family and friends.
