Samuel McArthur Tremble was born December 2, 1946, in Stapleton, Georgia to the late Ollie and Wyonia Tremble. As a young boy he moved to Washington, D.C. with his family where he lived the rest of his life. He enjoyed, baseball, football, and basketball. Sam graduated from Cardoza High School with honors in 1964. He was a Civil Servant for the Department of Treasury for 42 years as an accountant until his retirement December 30, 2005. He moonlighted as a part -time DJ at a local radio station WOL where he hob knobbed with many stars such as James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Patti La Belle, Isaac Hayes, and Stevie Wonder, just to name a few. While Sam loved all genres of music, he was a gospel enthusiast. He loved making mix tapes for his family and friends. He met the love of his life, Betty Rose in 1971. Their lives took them down separate roads, but they later rekindled their love and married January 2006. Sam truly loved his family and spent his life ensuring they were all well taken care of. He took care of his mom and was by her side until she gained her wings. He was extremely close with is siblings Joyce, Leon, and Charlie with whom he loved with all his heart. He grew up with his cousins Jean and Ben who were like siblings, and they were thick as thieves. Sam was a sports fanatic, and he loved the Dallas Cowboys football team and the LA lakers basketball team. Sam accepted Christ at an early age and enjoyed attending church services with his family. Sam will be truly missed by his family and friends.
