Teresa Marie (Mann) Shipley

Teresa died in Columbia, MD at the age of 52 from colon cancer. She was born in Washington, DC and when she was young she played softball and soccer for Green Meadows/Chillum Boys & Girls Club. She attended Northwestern Senior High School and played softball as a really great catcher! She graduated in 1981. Teresa worked as a legal secretary and was active with her children in their various sports activities. She enjoyed trying new recipes for her family and sharing those which were tasty with family and friends. She was a Girl Scout leader and a ribbonwriter for Prince-mont's Aqua Knights swim team for many years.

Teresa was the beloved wife of William "Bill" Shipley; mother of Keenan Mann, Evan Baturin, Julia Shipley, and Karen Shipley (Geoff Failla); grandmother of Salvatore Failla; daughter of Charlene Mann and the late Norman Mann; sister of Norman Mann, Laura Mann and Lisa "Missy" (Herb) Reigel; daughter-in-law of Mary Shipley; treasured lifelong friend of Amy Minor. She was like a mother to Kiara Laster and Madison Griffith, and will be missed by countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.
