Thelma (Hailey) Folks

Thelma Hailey Folks, 96, died peacefully at Casey House Hospice in Rockville, MD, on June 30, 2024, as a result of injuries suffered in a fall. Born May 18, 1928, in VA, Thelma was a resident of Silver Spring, MD, for over 70 years. She graduated from Eastern High School in Washington, DC, and worked for many years at Northeast Electric Company in Brentwood, MD. Thelma was a founding member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Silver Spring, MD, where she was active until recently.

Thelma was predeceased by her husband Harry Folks and her daughter Joyce Collins. She is survived by daughter Linda Folks, son-in-law David Collins, grandson Christopher Collins and his wife Becca, two great grandsons Ethan and Liam Collins, and a number of nieces and nephews. She will be missed.

Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Good Shepherd United Methodist Church or to the National MS Society.
