Thomas P. Jordan passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, following a long illness. Thomas was the beloved husband of Linda Ifft Jordan; father of Christopher (Holly) Jordan and Caitlin Jordan; grandfather of Mikayla, Zoey and Willlow Jordan; and brother of Edward Jordan, Rita (Joe) Thompson and Elaine “Petie” (Sam) Hance. Thomas was also survived by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Services will be held at a later date.
After graduating from Northwestern High School in 1969, Thomas spent much of his life working in the printing industry, starting as a machinist helper at Editor’s Press. He spent seven years serving in the United States Marine Corps, where he fondly remembered his time fueling aircraft on an aircraft carrier during his Mediterranean Sea tour. After returning to civilian life, Thomas resumed his work at Editor’s Press. He later went on to work at other printing venues but finally went full circle and spent the last ten years of his work career as a Fueler in the maintenance department of Washington Dulles International Airport.
Sadly, Thomas struggled with his health the last several years after retiring from the airport and then suffering a stroke almost seven years ago. He fought valiantly until the end and will be missed by his family.
