William Lee Steffeck

William (“Bill”) Lee Steffeck, 73, of College Park, MD,

The memorial service will be held at The University of Maryland Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, November 2, 2016, at 4pm.

Bill was born in Clintonville, WI on November 27, 1942. He graduated from Clintonville High School and continued on to receive a Masters in Library Science from The University of Wisconsin - Madison.

Bill worked as a media specialist for Prince George’s County Public Schools for many years. He enjoyed reading, music, and history. He was also an active volunteer and served as a volunteer at the National Cathedral, the Kreeger Museum, and the Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens.

Bill is survived by his two children, Christopher Steffeck and Rebecca Mourouzis, and his grandsons, Alexander Mourouzis and Christopher Mourouzis, and good friends Shirley Ross and George Pelham.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Steffeck and Irene Thompson Steffeck, his brother Herbert Steffeck, and his sister Joan Rogers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The National Cathedral, the Kreeger Museum, or the Hillwood Estate Museum and Gardens.The children of William Lee Steffeck wish to thank everyone who has given our father laughter and joy and the happy conversations from the many whom he encountered while volunteering.
